Welcome to our website! 'Happy Day Designs' consists of a mother and daughter team, Jane and Katy, based on the borders of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.
Katy designs and creates the jewellery using a wide range of materials and methods. She has been making jewellery since 2005 and sells mainly through parties and local craft fayres. Look on the 'Diary' page to see a list of dates she is available for you to book a party and venues you can see her work at. Katy makes unique items of jewellery by collecting charms, flowers, maps and even tiny shells from the Dorset coast- anything she finds that catches her eye really! She also stamps and glazes butterflies and hearts out of beautiful papers to make into charms which are added to pieces. Recently, Katy has discovered Fimo sculpy clay and is busy creating new pieces of jewellery- so watch this space!
Jane is based in Dorset, where she spends time creating her beautifully detailed mice. She first made them for her grandchildren and after many requests for them by friends and family, she has become known as 'The Mouse Lady' and now sells them for other children to love and play with. Each one takes an average of 10 hours to make and is entirely handstiched, no two are the same so if you see one you love, grab it while you can!
Of course, every mouse family needs a home to live in, so take a look at the amazing 'Mouse House'...each one is made from scratch by her lovely husband, and they come fully furnished, with a light and are decorated with a classic children's story.
